Questions
Questions merchants ask.
How is pricing calculated?
One rate per transaction, the same for every card: 2.25% + $0.20 in person and 2.75% + $0.25 online. There are no monthly, setup, statement, or early termination fees. Your statement is your sales, one processing line, and the deposit.
How does that compare with what I pay now?
Most small-business plans charge around 2.60% + $0.15 in person and 3.30% + $0.30 online, often with a monthly fee on top. The estimator on the pricing page shows the difference at your volume and average sale.
Is there a contract or a termination fee?
Accounts are month to month. There is no early termination fee. If you leave, your hardware is yours and your data goes with you.
When do I get my money?
Batches settle to the bank account you already use. Standard funding lands the next business day. Between the sale and the deposit, your sponsor bank holds the money, not us.
What do I have to do for PCI?
Less than most. Our terminals encrypt card data before it reaches your systems, and online checkout runs in hosted fields. That keeps card numbers out of your environment and shortens your annual questionnaire. We walk you through it each year.
What hardware do I need?
A certified countertop or handheld terminal from PAX or Ingenico, shipped ready to use. If you sell on the go, Tap to Pay on iPhone works with no extra device. Online merchants need nothing physical.
Who is the bank behind this?
Every card processor works through a sponsoring member bank that is registered with the card networks. The bank holds merchant funds and settles them. Its name appears in the disclosure at the bottom of this page.
